2020 WCCLS Teen Art Contest: Imagine Your Story

Calling all Washington County teen artists (ages 12-18): Enter for a chance to have your original artwork featured across the county during the 2020 Summer Reading program!

When does it happen?

Monday, January 6, 2020 – Saturday, February 15, 2020.

Submissions are accepted at wccls.org and at the Aloha Community Library.

The winning design will be used for all countywide 2020 WCCLS Teen Summer Reading materials. First Prize artwork will be featured on posters and bookmarks. An additional prize-winning artwork may be chosen to make buttons.

How do I submit an entry?

  1. Go to https://www.wccls.org/teen-art-contest, click the Submission form button and follow all directions. Make sure you include a written 1-3 sentence description of the artwork. Click “Save and continue”.
  2. Submit a digital file of your artwork via the link in the submission confirmation page by close of business February 15, 2020.

OR

  1. Bring a hard copy to the Aloha Community Library by 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
  2. Make sure your name and contact information is on the back of or attached to the artwork.

What are we looking for?

  • Represents the Teen Summer Reading theme “Imagine Your Story”.
  • DO NOT include theme text “Imagine Your Story” as part of your artwork.
  • Designs must be the original work of the entrant.
  • Designs should be in color, and should also look good in black and white.
  • Should not include any copied or copyrighted materials.
  • Limit two (2) entries per contestant.

Awards

All entries submitted to the Aloha Community Library will be entered into a prize drawing for a Blick art supply sample pack to help keep your creativity flowing! Winners will be selected after February 15, 2020.

If your artwork is selected by WCCLS to be featured this summer, you’ll receive:

  • First Prize: $200 Amazon gift card
  • Second Prize: $100 Amazon gift card
  • Third Prize: $50 Amazon gift card
