Storytime

Storytimes are filled with stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays designed for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers and their caregivers. The goal of storytime is to promote the joy of shared reading, the benefits of early literacy, and the importance of the caregiver-child connection.

What is early literacy?

Early literacy is what children know about reading and writing before they actually learn how to read or write. Developing language and literacy skills begins at birth through everyday interactions, such as sharing books, telling stories, singing songs,  and talking to your child.  It’s never too early to begin reading with your little one!
