The Aloha Community Library is a dynamic nonprofit public library that provides a wide range of services. We are seeking two team-oriented library enthusiasts to serve as part-time Circulation Assistants.

Ideal candidates are positive, practice proactive customer service, are passionate about library services, and are eager to learn and innovate. Library experience is a plus, but not required. Circulation Assistants spent most of work hours at the Service Desk, checking materials in and out, and answering patrons’ questions. These positions require excellent organizational and communication skills, flexibility, the ability to work independently, the enjoyment of working with a diverse group of people, and the ability to work evening and Saturday shifts.

CLOSED Job Opening: Library Janitor

Library Janitor
6 – 9 hours/week; $16.00/hour

Open until filled. Applications will be reviewed beginning June 20.

Start date: July 2022 (sooner is possible)

Three 3-hour shifts/week, spread throughout the week.  Option of early morning (7am-10am) or early evening shifts (6pm-9pm). Hours can be adjusted to overlap the library open hours by 1 hour.

The Library Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for library patrons and staff.  The ideal janitorial candidate has experience with tasks that include, but are not limited to, vacuuming carpets; cleaning furniture in public and staff areas; cleaning glass and counter areas; dusting book shelves; emptying trash cans and hauling waste to dumpster; straightening tables and chairs; cleaning restrooms and changing supplies; picking up scraps of debris; damp and dry mopping; and assisting staff in arrangement of furniture and equipment.  This position requires an ability to work independently, an attention to detail, and pride in work. As the position works in the library unsupervised, this position is required to be age 18 or older.
