Have you heard? The Aloha Community Library is turning five! A group of generous library supporters is giving us a huge birthday present – a dollar for dollar match if we raise $15,000 by September 30! Just think. We could raise $30,000 (or more) by the end of this month! But we can only do it with your help.

Since the passage of Measure 34-235 in November 2015, the Aloha Community Library Association has been gearing up to join Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) as their newest member by Fall 2016. In order to provide the library services expected of a county library, the Aloha Community Library plans to move around the corner to our Annex space (between US World Class Taekwondo and Peppermill Restaurant). This new location will allow us to grow and thrive as your community library, providing room for an expanded collection, programming for all ages, interlibrary loans and the fulfillment of hold requests between member libraries, additional computers with internet connections, comfortable seating for studying, and much, much more. We are excited to announce that the Aloha Community Library and Beaverton Library Foundation have been selected as co-nominees for the Cedar Hill New Seasons Market’s incredible new “Bag It Forward” program. The Bag It Forward program gives New Seasons Market customers the opportunity to donate their reusable bag credits (5 cents per bag) to one of three non-profit organizations that are selected by popular vote. If the Aloha Community Library and Beaverton Library Foundation are selected as a winning non-profit, then New Seasons Market customers will be able to donate their reusable bag credits to our organizations.
Please help the Aloha Community Library and the Beaverton Library Foundation secure a spot in the Bag It Forward program by voting at the Cedar Hills New Seasons Market January 13 through January 26 and by encouraging your friends and family to vote. Voting takes place at the Solutions Center inside the Cedar Hills New Seasons Market.
Thank you for your continued support!
Thanks to many Aloha Community Library supporters, we are half-way to achieving our $20,000 challenge grant!
Please help us make it the rest of the way. You can donate by dropping off or mailing a check to the library, or donating online on our website through PayPal (www.alohalibrary.org/donate/).
A group of library volunteers has pledged to donate $20,000 if we raise $20,000 to match their pledge by November 3, 2015. We have already received $10,000 toward our $20,000 goal.
We rely on community support from donors like you. This is a great opportunity to double the impact of your gift. Please help us to reach this goal.
Many local employers also match charitable gifts; contact your Human Resources department for more information.

We are approximately $1,000 away from reaching our goal of $15,000. There’s still time to donate and receive a 2014 tax deduction! Please help us reach our goal by submitting your donation via Paypal on the Library’s website or by dropping off your payment at the library today or on Wednesday, 12/31 before 2:00 pm (early closure due to holiday). Thank you for supporting Aloha Community Library!!
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers and staff, the Aloha Community Library has made a big difference since we opened our doors two years ago.
Children are developing a love of reading in our storytime and summer reading programs. Teens are enjoying teen-only library takeover events. Job seekers are finding jobs using our internet access. And our patrons are enjoying our collection of over 12,000 books and movies so much that our monthly circulation is close to 3,000 items.
Although we have been conditionally approved to join the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS), that won’t happen until mid-2016, if the next library levy passes.
In the meantime, we rely on community support from donors like you. Your gift will help us fund library operations and programs, and help us continue to grow as we prepare for WCCLS membership.
We’re excited to announce a new challenge grant! A group of library supporters has pledged to donate $15,000 if we raise $15,000 to match their pledge by December 31.
We have already received over $2,000 toward our $15,000 goal. You can watch our progress as we fill the cornucopia in the library window.
Can you help us reach our target this year? You can donate by dropping off or mailing a check to the library, or donating online on our website through PayPal (alohalibrary.org/donate/). Many local employers also match charitable gifts; a list of employers with matching programs is on our website (alohalibrary.org/donate/).
Thanks for Giving!
Answer: they both support the Aloha Community Library Association!
How can you help this? By going to their websites and register us as your favorite non-profit organization! THEY will provide revenue to us as a result of your purchases! We wrote about the wonderful Community Rewards program at Fred Meyer last spring, but the opportunity to get us some income from Amazon is new. Each one is relatively easy to setup. Questions? Stop by the library today and ask a volunteer to help you! You can also download a flyer that explains how to register with each organization.
