The Aloha Community Library is a dynamic nonprofit public library that provides a wide range of services. We are seeking team-oriented library enthusiasts to serve as part-time Circulation Assistants.
Our ideal candidate is positive, practices proactive customer service, is passionate about providing equitable library services to everyone, and is eager to learn and innovate. Library experience is a plus, but not required. Circulation Assistants spend most shifts working directly with patrons, checking materials in and out, and keeping the library tidy and safe. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, flexibility, the ability to work independently, and the enjoyment of working with a diverse group of people. Additional hours may be offered occasionally when other staff take time off.
The Aloha Community Library Association is committed to building an inclusive, anti-racist organization. Everyone interested in serving our community is encouraged to apply. No library experience? That’s ok! If you have customer service experience and a knack for explaining technology skills clearly and patiently, please apply!
Employment announcement, position description, and application are available at the library and online here.
To be considered, please submit a cover letter, application, and resume (including references) to Terri Palmer, Library Director. Please indicate in your cover letter if you would like to be considered for Position 1, Position 2, or both.
