Did you know June is ocean month? Join us all month long for fun, ocean-themed activities! Ahoy, mateys! Build yer own mighty aluminum foil boats ‘n’ test ‘em t’ see which can carry th’ most booty! For this challenge you will need aluminum foil, water, pennies, and a water-tight container such as a plastic storage bin, sink, or bathtub. For additional instructions on how to make your boat, try this helpful guide.
Take a picture and have an adult post it and tag the library on social media or send it to info@alohalibrary.org for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to a local business! Please share your creations by Sunday, June 21 to be eligible for the prize drawing. Winners will be notified the following week.
