For this month’s all-ages friendly STEAM activity, we’re combining science with messy(ish) arts and crafts to create beautiful salt crystal leaves. We’ll craft leaves out of pipe cleaner or paper, then cover them in a supersaturated salt water solution and watch them transform! A supersaturated solution is a mixture that can’t hold any more particles, so once the water evaporates you will be left with salt crystal covered leaves to decorate for fall.
Grab everything you need for this artsy experiment during holds pickup hours Monday-Wednesday, 3-6 pm, or Thursday-Saturday, 10 am-1 pm while supplies last.
