Call for Booktique Donations

We’re holding our Booktique sale in October this year (sale dates Sat 10/14 – Sat 10/21), and we are seeking donations of handcrafted items to sell to benefit the library! Do you make illustrated bookmarks? Self-designed t-shirts? Hand-poured candles? No matter your craft of choice, we hope you’ll consider supporting library operations by donating some of your completed projects to our sale!

Bring your donations to our service desk any time during open hours through Saturday, September 30th. We will ask you to provide your contact information and a description, quantity, and suggested price for each item. You can print and complete a form with this information ahead of time, or fill one out at the library.

Questions? Call the library at 503-259-0185, or email Community Engagement Specialist Maggie at

Thank you for your support!

The fine print:
  • All items should be handcrafted or upcycled, and appropriate to display at a family-friendly event. No homemade foods, sorry!
  • Suggested prices are suggestions only and the library may choose to set other prices at its discretion.
  • Items that remain unsold at the end of the Booktique will be retained by the library and may be sold at future events or otherwise utilized to benefit the library.

$40,000 Fundraising Goal

Fundraising thermometer at 56%Thank you so much to all the donors who help our community library thrive! The fabulous joint efforts of our matching donors and the rest of our community raised roughly $14,000 in support of library services in Aloha on #GivingTuesday. That leaves just $26,000 to go to reach our $40,000 Year End fundraising goal by December 31st, 2021. (Check out the thermometer to the right to see how much of that $40k goal has been raised so far!)

Your support is key to our success in removing barriers to resources and championing literacy in our community. Every dollar really does impact our ability to serve our neighbors! Join us in creating a brighter future in 2022 by making a financial gift to the Aloha Community Library Association today.

“Our library is the heart of Aloha. It’s been a positive change agent in our community from inspiring young people to read, distributing food, clothes, school supplies, a place to access the internet and is a safe place just to come and hang out […] I love the Aloha Library because people really care about helping you.”
— Judy Reetz, ACLA donor
