Summer is almost over! Can you believe it? Fall is just around the corner, but there’s still time to turn in your Reading Logs! Come to the library between now and the end of August to claim your prize packet and free book. Thursday, August 31st will be the last day to claim prizes.
We’ll see you at the library!
For the first time at the new Aloha Community Library, WCCLS card holders between the ages of 12 and 18 are invited to participate in this year’s county-wide Teen Summer Reading Artwork Contest!
Teen artists can submit up to two original works to the Aloha Community Library for consideration between now and February 13, 2017. The winning design will be used on promotional material for this year’s summer reading program, “Build a Better World” throughout Washington County.
The winner also receives a $150 gift certificate for Powell’s Books. The second place winner receives a $50 gift certificate for Blick Art Materials, and the winner of honorable mention will get a $25 Blick gift certificate.
For additional information, please visit wccls.org or download the contest entry form and details here. Winners will be announced in March. Good luck!

Children and teens receive prizes just for signing up, and a free book and other goodies when they turn in their reading logs in August.
