Eclipse Day is coming, Monday, August 21!

Prepare for the (almost) Totality! Learn all sorts of fantastic facts at Aloha Community Library’s eclipse programs!

 

Thanks to a generous donor, a limited number of eclipse viewers will be available at each of the following programs. First come, first served. Limit of two per family, while supplies last.

Dr. Ray Torley Presents Eclipses and Other Occultations
Thursday, August 10, 4:00pm

All the juicy scientific goodness you’ll need to impress your friends! Dr. Torley will share pictures and short movies of past eclipses of the sun, the moon, on Jupiter, and on Saturn. Become an eclipse chaser from the comfort of the library! Teens, adults, and curious kids who can sit through the program are welcome.

The Big Eclipse Family Storytime
Wednesday, August 16, 10:30am

A special themed version of our usual Family Storytime for pre-schoolers and early grade school kids. We’ll read eclipse and other astronomical stories geared to help our youngest patrons learn fun facts!

Out of This World Eclipse Fun Day
Saturday, August 19, 10:00am-5:00pm

Drop-in throughout the day for self-guided eclipse activities and crafts. All ages welcome!

Don’t forget – the library will open at 12:00pm on Monday, August 21st!

  • Stay home and view the eclipse safely, then visit the library from 12:00pm-8:00pm.
  • No Toddler Storytime on 8/21.
