Become a member of the Aloha Community Library Association today!!
In case you missed our exciting news, the Aloha Community Library Association has been named LIBRARY SUPPORTERS OF THE YEAR by the Oregon Library Association. The ACLA is honored to be recognized for our commitment to developing a community library that is intent on serving the diverse needs of our community and helping all members to thrive.
Who We Are: The Aloha Community Library Association (ACLA) is a 501c3 non-profit community organization dedicated to growing and promoting the Aloha Community Library as an essential resource in our community.
What We Do: The ACLA oversees and supports the Aloha Community Library, including providing financial support to fund library programs and to buy new books and DVDs. While the Library receives significant financial support from Washington County, these public funds are not enough to fully cover our operations. We need the financial support of members and donors like you to make up the difference.
What Can I Do: Become a member! Membership is $20.00 per year. Membership is a great way to support the Aloha Community Library and to ensure that your library can continue to provide exciting programs to benefit our community.
What Do I Get: All members receive an ACLA book bag, members’ newsletters, and invitations to special members only events. Members may also run for open positions on the Board. Plus, you will get that wonderful feeling that comes with doing something that helps your community!
How Do I Sign Up: Becoming a member is easy! You can become a member by printing the membership form and returning it, completed, to the library, or by mailing it to the library with a check made payable to the “ACLA.” The mailing address is Aloha Community Library Association, P.O. Box 6561, Aloha, Oregon 97007-0561. You can also visit alohalibrary.org/donate to join online.
Today, the people of Aloha have access to a growing local library thanks to the generous contributions of our friends, neighbors, and local businesses. Now more than ever, the library needs your help. A donation to the Aloha Community Library Association is an investment in Aloha’s future, providing the foundation for a lasting central resource for our vibrant community.
In addition to funding from Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS), ACLA depends on financial donations and grant funding to reach our goals. Your donations will help the library to continue to provide valuable resources to our community, including:
- a diverse collection of books and media for children, teens, and adults;
- engaging monthly programs for children and adults;
- computers with internet access for public use;
- technical assistance for adults looking for computer help and advice;
- weekly storytimes for children encouraging a love of reading from an early age;
- and so much more!
From its humble beginnings to becoming the newest member of the Washington County Cooperative Library Services, the Aloha Community Library has already come so far! Help us go even further by making a donation today.
