Cookies for a Great Cause

February 13, 2013 by Nicole Green, Beaverton OR.

Girl Scout Troop 40410 will be selling the organization’s famous cookies this weekend and next at the Bales Thriftway on Farmington (right by the Aloha Library) and the Safeway on the corner of Murray and Allen. What’s even more delicious is that this Troop of 12 fifth grade girls has chosen to give a portion of the Troop’s total cookie proceeds to the Aloha Library. Their donation is one act of service the Troop plans to do for the Library as part of earning their Bronze Award—the highest honor for Junior Girl Scouts. The Troop wants to help increase awareness of the Library and to help build its book collection by distributing informative flyers, hanging posters, and organizing a book drive in their school community. Come support Troop 40410 and buy cookies for a great cause—the Aloha Library!troop 40410 a
