Teen Library Takeover: Upcycled Art

Every 2nd Friday of the month from June through August the library will be CLOSED to everyone except teens entering 6th through 12th grade. Join us for three Teen Library Takeovers this summer featuring games, crafts, music, food and more!

For our first event, we’ll use recycled comic and book pages to create new works of art in honor of your favorite comic book and literary heroes. Feel free to bring your own items to decoupage – we’ll provide the comics and book pages, as well as frames, magnets and more to act as the backdrop of your creations.

Family Movie Night

Bring comfy seating to the Aloha Community Library Annex (between Peppermill Restaurant and US World Class Taekwondo) for a special free showing of Big Hero 6. It gets a little chilly at the Annex, so feel free to bring blankets and pillows to cozy up with! The movie will begin promptly at 6:30 pm, so remember to show up a little early to find your seat.
