Grand Opening Postponed

Due to inclement weather and warnings from ODOT for travelers to stay home during the impending storm, the Aloha Community Library has decided to postpone the Grand Opening Celebration scheduled for today to Saturday, January 14 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to see everyone next weekend.

Thank you for your support of the Aloha Community Library! We will open for our new, extended hours beginning on Monday (weather permitting, of course). Stay safe and warm this weekend!

Storytime Returns!

After a long and busy couple of months moving and setting up our new library, we are extremely pleased to announce the return of toddler and family storytimes beginning the week of January 9th! Weekly storytimes, along with several of our other ongoing programs for children, will resume in January in the new location of the Aloha Community Library.

Here are a few things to look forward to next month:

  • Toddler Storytime: Mondays, 10:30am (resumes January 9th)
  • Family Storytime: Wednesdays, 10:30am (resumes January 11th)
  • Read to the Dogs: 2nd & 4th Mondays, 5-6:00pm (resumes January 9th – reserve your spot now!)
  • LEGO Free Play: 3rd Thursdays, 3:30-5:00pm (resumes January 19th)

We look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you all for your patience during our renovation, and ongoing support of the Aloha Community Library.

Fun facts:

Yes, you may turn in books and movies from around the county to our book drops! Currently, our old library outdoor drop is still available AND our new library drops are open for returns!

No, we will not be a holds pick up location until staff have worked out as many of the kinks as possible. We want to be ready to serve you as best as we can before opening that floodgate!

This is a soft opening, so we are purposely not spreading the word far and wide – for now. We would benefit from a slow, steady chance to practice on real people. We thank you for your patience in advance!

Services will be limited to check out of Aloha Community Library materials and check in of materials from Aloha and other WCCLS libraries.

Services that will NOT be offered (for the time being):

  • Patron computers
  • Printing or photocopying
  • Holds pick up

Thank you for your support! We hope to see you soon!

Book Sale Opening at Noon Today

Due to inclement weather, the Winter Book Sale will open at 12:00pm today, December 9th, rather than the previously posted 10:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience.  Thank you for supporting the Aloha Community Library!
