Community Writing Workshop

Explore your creative voice while getting to know your community! Based on the acclaimed Write Around Portland model, this workshop provides 2-hours of facilitated, prompt-based writing time, with sharing and strengths-based feedback.

Good for any level of experience. Open to all library patrons ages 13+.  Please contact the library to register (18 spaces available).

Owls in Winter

Whoooo’s calling in winter? While most birds wait until spring, owls start preparing to nest in the heart of winter. Come learn about Beaverton owls and take home all the skills you need to plan an owl prowl with your family. Presented by the THPRD Nature Mobile.

Budgeting 101

Get your personal spending organized this year! Certified Public Accountant Christina Bentley, who is a member of the Oregon Society of CPAs Financial Literacy Committee, will provide a free presentation on how to budget and save money for yourself or your household. No registration necessary.

Join us for our monthly book club meeting to discuss The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht at the library. Since the library was closed on January 1st for the holiday, we’ll be meeting a week later.  No registration required.

Sit n Stitch – updated schedule!

New schedule beginning January 2018! Please note that the afternoon Sit n Stitch group will move from Wednesdays to Thursdays starting January 4th.

Bring your knitting, crochet, or other yarn project, and come join the Sit n Stitch group at Aloha Community Library! Trade tips or simply enjoy the company of fellow crafters while you work on your latest creation.
